FACE Guidelines for Evaluation
Jeannie Baer, May 1996
Jeannie presented a short seminar, using a range of posters
(which made us follow the material well) and asking us to
contribute by answering questions. She told us about the
FACE guidelines for making an evaluation.
- F - the facts
- what were the objectives, both formal and
personal? You need to know in advance the title, the
manual requirements, and wether the speaker had any
special points which he/she wished you to check.
- A - achievements
- were the objectives reached? - If so,
how? If not, why not? Be personal - "I felt that",
"From my point of view" and be constructive.
- C - content
- was there a structure - introduction, body and conclusion?
Was there a theme linking the points raised?
- E - externals
- how was the delivery? voice, body language
As an exercise, we filled out short evaluation forms after each
of the prepared speeches.
